Good evening world, and welcome to the (not so) weekly 'Saturday Night Live' with our beautifully perfect in every way host, Toms 'Latvoman' Dumpis!
Thank you everyone, but lets get on with the news for this week:
I'll start with apologising about missing out on two weeks, and well, to be honest, I'll just leave it to the fact that I was busy and ill, not wanting to go in more detail. As for news on me, what can I say, umm...No I mean it. Don't have much. Well, I did finish DofE practise, and for those outside UK, it is like going camping for three days, and then walking 20km a day, with at least 10kg on your back. In other words, rather enjoyable :) Then we also have the fact that my school is almost over! Got only two weeks left, after which I will just chillax throughout the summer, doin' nothing'. Well maybe except going to the cinema with some friends...
Which brings us to this weeks theme, movie night:
What's the last movie you saw in theaters? How was it? Who did you go with?
The last movie I went to see was X-men First Class, and to be honest, I was plesantly surprised. I went with my dad, but felt rather anused after he brought me a seperate seat 4 rows back, because he didn't like the smell of popcorn :D But really the story was something new, and the effects look good; I would say that I was surprised that they didn't choose to make this into 3D just to rake in more money, for which I deeply respect them :)
If you could be any character from any movie (except Harry Potter), Which would you be and why?
Hmmm, this is a tough one, but I think that I will go with Scott Pilgrim, mainly just because he is a level 2 in the power of love!.. What? Ok, I'll give you a legitimate reason...Mainly because that would be the cloest way to be able to compare my life to a video game, and it would generally be quite fun to live as him, even for a week or so :P
What movie is comming up which you are really looking forward to?
Nothing springs to mind at the moment, and if I am honest with you, I am not that great a fan of the Harry Potter movies, so I wouldn't really be bothered by the last movie that came out soon. Actually, just remembered two titles that I am looking forward to, and those are Cowboys and Aliens, and also Cars 2. Yes, I do tend to highly favour childrens animated movies. There is nothing wrong with that :)
What movie(s) do you most regret watching?
I don't think there ever was a movie I have actually regreted watching, seeing as I go to movies with a highly positive view, and almost always ignore any kinds of criticis, because at the end of the day, it has the dual purpose as being entertainment, and art at the same time...
Favourite Film based on a book? And what film based on a book shouldn't have attempted being made or was completely ruined by the making of the movie?
To be honest, I have no idea. Many movies I have enjoyed, many based on books, but I don;t really have a favourite, so sorry to disapoint you folks :D And I guess I could apply the same resoning to movies I haven't liked, as I don't really take that much notice of what's bas and what is not.
So here ya go, my post for tonight.
I will see you all next week,
Toms :)
Note: Toms, I do apologise if I have incorrectly copied any of your blog. Blogger wasn't letting me Copy and Paste onto the post, so I typed out the whole thing again, because I had already sent the email saying I would do it...any ways does Scott Pilgrim count as a book?
Sim x
