Hello, and greetings on this (very wet/rainy) Friday,
I'm not too sure what else to say at the moment because I'm lacking many hours sleep. So I do apologise for any lack of grammar, punctuation or any sentences making absolutly no sense.
So let's dive in with
Question Numero Uno: What's the last movie you saw in theaters? How was it? Who did you go with?
I'm pretty sure that the last movie I saw was Pirates 4. I don't want to say anything to sway Kim's opinon either way, so you can skip to the next question.
I went with my sister (Kam), her husband (Richard) and her close friend (Ricc). The four of us kind of form a little movie club and we will often go see the main films thoughout the year together. As for the movie, it was...decent... I'm a massive Pirates fan, well, mainly the first one. I mean my lucky necklace is a replica of one of the pieces of Aztec gold. But this movie was not nearly upto the great standard of the first film. It was only okay, in the fact it had the comedy and all the right action scenes, but it wasn't the greatest one out of the four.
Numero Dos: If you could be any character from any movie (except Harry Potter), Which would you be and why?
Hmm... this is difficult, it was my own question and I don't know how to answer :/
I would'nt mind being a Disney Pixar character, because life always seems to turn out fine for them in the end. But if I had too choose, I would probably choose to be Ramona Flowers from Scott Pilgrim. I think this is bit of an odd choice as Ramona is portrayed as a bit of a cow in her past. However she has experience already in life, she's really cool and essentially she is a character who knows her flaws and who trys to improve them...and she dates Micheal Cera/Scott Pilgrim :P
Numero Tres: What movie is coming up which you are really looking forward to?
Though X-men: First Class came out here a few weeks ago, I haven't had the chance to see it yet, so I'm still pretty excited for that. Also Harry Potter too, however that excitement will probably kick in during the next few weeks. Other than that at this moment I cannot remember any other films coming out ...
Numero ...I can't remember how to spell..Four: What movie(s) do you most regret watching?
My Bloody Valentine, the remake. It was an absolute waste of time. I think more than enough time wasted on watching that film,so I shouldn't waste anymore writing about it either now. Also another film I wish I never watched was this movie that an anime I like made, it had no plot, no development and I remember being 1 hour and 45 minutes into this 2 hour movie and thinking to myself whether the main storyline of it had kicked in yet or not.
Number Five: Favourite Film based on a book? And what film based on a book shouldn't even have attempted being made or was completely ruined by the making of the movie?
I think you guys all know by now that my one of my favourite films is Fight Club. It is such an epic movie that leaves your head spinning with all the possibilities of living a life with no attachment to any physical obssession. But for me what makes Fight Club even more of a great movie, is the book it was based on. The book, Fight Club, is absolutley mental. It's one of my favourties because the structure of it is all over the place and you really feel like you don't know which way is up. And the way it was translated into a movie, is absolutley amazing. I throughly recommend watching it 3 times in a row, each time you pick up on another aspect that was hidden in the first viewing, and the same in the book. Also the movie is quite, to a small extent, an exact replica of the novel, this also makes the two stand out, because its becoming rarer to find that.
I think Twilight should not have been attempted making. Not by the fact that the novel was good, becuase in my opinion it was dreadful. I just think the film was actually worse than the novel, and this may have given the novel a bad/worse reputation.
That's all I can think of at the moment. If you read through this and it makes no sense whatsoever, I do apologise. I don't normally wait till this late at night to write things like this.
So, all thats left is
