An Early-Summer Night

The time is 23.24.
I state this for the sole purpose of the story I am about to recall.
Not some twenty minutes ago, I was on the bus back from my sisters house. It was getting dark quickly and there wasn't many people on the bus. However there was an elderly lady at the front of the bus, clutching to her crutches and several shopping bags. She was worried. She had gotten onto the wrong bus and we were entering a bit of a dodgy area. The bus driver was trying his best to help her however it was difficult seeming as he had to, you know, drive the bus. So another woman stepped in. She herself had several shopping bags and looked so tired that she could have dropped at any moment. But instead of just leaving the elderly woman, she spent twenty(ish) minutes trying to figure out where the lady was going and giving her directions. Then when it came to the stop before the elderly lady was to leave, she got very nervous again. So the other lady, only a stop away from where she needed to be, took the elderly lady's bags and helped her off of the bus, and then got on another bus which took her in the complete adjacent direction, and she promised she wouldn't leave her till she felt safe again.

This gave me hope today. That at this late at night, when the lady could have been doing something different, she helped this elderly lady find her way home. I think that if everyone in my area could be a little more like this lady, living here would be much more pleasent.

So it's not quite summer-SUMMER here yet. The weather has been teasing us, but also showering us in thunder storms too every other day. School's still in and its driving me crazy. It's a dictatorship there and the only way I survive is by knowing I have one more year left.
My summer's going to be taken up by that fact entirely. I have to get good/great grades, I have to write a personal statement, I have to do entrance exam practise if I want to go to any of the universities I've chosen. I haven't even started the summer and it's already driving me crazy.

But that's not all I have planned. I live very close to the centre of London, and for the past three days I've been going into London and just doing whatever I felt like. For example on Wednesday, I spent three hours in the Science Museum, showing off how nerdy I can be :) and today I went to my favourite place in London, St. Paul's Cathederal and sat in front of it for an hour. Tanned my legs badly though :/

Caitlin, If you do come, let me know I can tell you like a gizzillllliiiiooon places to go. I absolutley love London, and I can be your tour guide if you need one XD
And I also I prefer Autumn to any other month. Everything around here looks so beautiful and I love snuggling in with a good book in the warmth when there is a thunderstorm brewing outside.

It's getting late now, and my Dad is begining to shout at me :/ so sorry this was rushed and probably contains loads of errors. But hope everyones enjoying their weeks and talk to you all soon.

Only one way to live the summer and thats by remembering,
DFTBA

  1. I absolutely adore London! I spend a total of about 48 hours there last summer and it was enough for me to fall in love with the city. I'm determined to go back someday soon!
And I know what you mean about crazy weather, it's been bizarly rainy here too :S
