Crazy Fun Adventure Week!

Conventions, Concerts, Europe...this League has been busy! And I continue the busyness with ... well .... um ... I bought a new lampshade .... look how pretty it is!
Yeah I haven't been all that busy this week, mostly just some odds and end around the house, cleaning my room, doing up a resume, looking into stuff for school. Nothing all that exciting.

Last week was much more exciting though. I was on a road trip out to the West Coast as well as I went to see Johnny Reid in concert! It was the second time I've seen him and I have to admit I liked him better the first time. Don't get me wrong, he always puts on a fantastic show, it was just the first show I went to the venue was a lot nicer and the second concert had had some technical issues. Which was frustrating because I could tell exactly what was wrong, and it's an easy fix, but once the concert was underway there was absolutely nothing they could do about it. But anyways if you haven't heard of Johnny Reid he's a really good Scottish singer and I suggest you check him out. Generally he's classified as country but he's not like super twangy country so don't let that deter you. What is it with people always hating on country music anyways? I like it but hardly anyone I know does.

Okay now I'm starting to ramble a bit. I should stop that. Though if you like random ramblings and want to hear more about the Vancouver Road trip you can go here:

But back to Crazy Fun Adventure Week of being at home! I will not be home today or tomorrow! (btw it's 2am which is why today is still in the future) I'm going to A Taste of Edmonton today with my mom. It's an annual food festival here, a bunch of restaurants set up booths in the square outside city hall and have a couple selections from their menu in mini size. People can go and try out a bunch of food from new and different restaurants and it's fun and yummy!

Then on Friday I'm going to Klondike Days! (Though the name's been changed to Capital Ex which I think just sounds lame and has no history to it.) It's the big fair that comes every year so there will be lots of rides ridden, games played, and junk food consumed! Also Mariana's Trench is performing that night so I shall see yet another concert, that's three weeks in a row I've been to one!

That's about all for crazy fun adventures from me this week. I hope you all are having lots of fun and enjoying summer! Or winter for Caitlin :)

DFTBA,

-Kim

  1. Hey, you've finished high school, so you'll be headed to college this fall, right? I'm leaving for college (in California!) in late August. We should communicate about what college (do you call it University in Canada?) is like-- it would be cool to compare experiences.

I love your lampshade, by the way. :)

  2. That's a great idea!
We have both University (for 4 year degree programs) and College (2 year diploma programs) here. I'm going to University of Alberta in the fall which is here in Edmonton. California sounds exciting though :)

Haha thanks, I've been looking for just the right one for a while now.
