Hi There :)

I'm trying to keep my life organized, I really am, but it's becoming increasingly difficult. I have a to-do list that's four pages long, finals are coming up, and I have a cold. There seriously is not enough time in a day!

There was just the most gorgeous bird in my tree! It flew off right away but I still got rather excited.

Anyways, I'm trying to think of something to talk about that's not just "my life is busy!" because my life is never not busy, it just goes through phases of being more or less busy.

OH! Exciting news though! I don't know if I mentioned this but I had applied to a theatre design program at a school in London and I have an interview February 9th! So I'm going to London for a week in February! So excited! And if anyone has suggestions on what to do/see let me know :)

I already have a long list of shows I want to see and I know I can't see them all, but I'm just such a theatre nerd! I think the best shows I've ever seen/worked on are Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Spring Awakening, and Billy Elliot. They're all beautiful shows, which fill you with joy at one turn and sorrow at another. Each time I see them something new comes to light.

Do all of you see theatre sometimes? And if so what are your favourite shows?

DFTBA,

-Kim

  1. Oh my! That's pretty cool. I could recommend looooaaaadddss to do around London as I spend practically every weekend walking around. It really depends where you want to go and if you like walking. Camden Town is a really quirky and vibrant place to go, the markets are unique and its really fun to hang around. Spending time in a three-story Waterstones near Picadilly is a fun way to spend a few hours (I met another Nerdfighter in there). Walking down Embankment you could go see the Tate Britain and across millenium bridge there is the Tate Modern (depends how into art you are). There is the Science museum and the Natural History Museum. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column, Horse Guard's Parade, Hyde Park, St James Park, Tower of London, the list goes on and on. My favourite places are Southbank and St Paul's Cathedral. Southbank is a vibrant walk along the river, depending on what time you go you can see skateboarders and rollerbladers of all ages, I'm not sure when the Globe opens next year, but you can walk past Shakespeare's Globe. On the way down you can see some interesting architecture all the way to a Starbucks looking out to Tower Bridge and the Thames.

Like I said there's lots to do, it depends how long you're staying and what you've already got planned. Got any questions just ask :)

As for theatre, I haven't really been to many, I've been to see a few plays and some ballet really. Swan lake, An Inspector Calls and Doctor Faustus.
